美聯社報導，為說服美國企業留在國內生產製造，美國總統當選人川普(Donald Trump)和副總統搭檔彭斯(Mike Pence)，29日聯合前往印地安納州的冷氣機製造商開利公司(Carrier A.C. Company)拜訪。彭斯目前是印州州長。
根據路透社，擁有開利的聯合技術公司(United Technologies Corp)已經和川普、彭斯達成協議，將保留開利冷氣位於印地安納波利斯(Indianapolis)工廠的大約1千個工作機會給美國勞工。
消息人士指出，詳細的計畫內容將會在30日對外公布。
開利曾在今年年初宣布，將把約1,400個工作由印地安納州轉移至墨西哥。美國參議員桑德斯(Bernie Sanders)向川普施壓，要求他必須設法阻止開利把工作機會移至墨西哥，以兌現阻止工作機會外流的競選承諾。
